For a true return to its origins, the 2009 Motor Show is taking a trip through time, back to the roots of competitive motoring, with the Motor Show Racing Legend section: an entire pavilion dedicated to the cars and bikes that have gone down in the history of motor sport.
Conceived as an event for car lovers and industry professionals, from 4 to 8 December Motor Show Racing Legend will lead visitors on a trip through the history of Formula 1, Rally and Granturismo.
Pavilion 25 will be dedicated to the cars and bikes that have constituted the stars of world motor sport. On display will be unique models taken from the most prestigious collections, in a set up that encompasses different epochs, technical features and aesthetic characteristics. In addition, over the course of the five days of the Motor Show, it will be possible to learn in more detail about the technical and historical aspects of competitive motor sport through a series of themed conferences that will put companies, technicians, personalities and collectors under the spotlight.
Moreover, visitors will also enjoy a host of custom races to complement the competition fixtures: on 4 December, the vintage programme opens with the participation of Scuderia Bologna, whereas on 6 December it will be the turn of Formula Legend. 7 and 8 December will see the staging of the Historic Rally.
