VINTAGE RACING CARS AT MOTOR SHOW 2009
During the 34th edition of the Motor Show (BolognaFiere, 5-13 December 2009), Promotor International – the company that has always organised the Bologna event – will be offering enthusiasts a new initiative addressed to vintage racing cars, Motor Show Racing Legend – Technique and Culture of Historic Racing Cars.
Motor Show Racing Legend, organised with the support of CSAI and Assomotoracing, is planned on 7th and 8th December 2009 in the former Modern Art Gallery in Bologna, which is adjacent to the entrance to the Exhibition Centre housing the Motor Show and is ideal to host this special event dedicated to vintage racing cars, which were created by true artists able to shape with their own hands the bodywork with their sinuous lines and tune the roar of their engines just with the fine sensitivity of their own ears.
Addressed to trade operators, the thousands of club members and whoever else is fascinated by the vintage body work and engines, Motor Show Racing Legend will be a genuine embodiment of the technical genius of the great masters who made Italian cars and motorbikes immortal, symbols throughout the world of elegance, style, technique and racing power. Some of the milestones of our industry and many Made in Italy excellences will tell the story of technical expertise and aesthetic beauty that have made Italian vintage cars and motorbikes true icons and a heritage that must be protected.
Motor Show Racing Legend will be divided in two sections: the first, the exhibition, will be the first chance for companies working in the vintage racing car field, collectors and enthusiasts to meet, while the second will offer opportunities for discussion into specific themes, with shows and cultural events related to the passion for the history of engines.
Simultaneously, on 7th and 8th December, in the Motor Show race track the vintage racing cars will be in the field in races and exhibitions: yet another chance for enthusiasts at the Motor Show Racing Legend to meet the champions, teams and stables that have written the history of Italian and foreign motor racing.
